According to Pelosi it is "fair." I don't see it that way. The government cannot require you to purchase something. Some will argue they require auto insurance, but you're not forced to buy it if you don't have a car — only if you want to drive your car.

Instead of mandating health insurance, why don't they mandate exercise three times a week for 30 minutes?

Our own health is our personal liberty.

I shouldn't be forced by some government bureaucrats to tell me what I have to do to maintain my health.

Anyone who supports this bill is unamerican. This is tyranny and is against our constitutional rights. This is not America. This is Nazi Germany.

Then to have the gull to force this bill on us or face fines and imprisonment. Take me to prison then.

I won't comply. I will protect my country though from enemies both foreign and domestic.

The money garnered from taxes on businesses and people who don't have or buy health insurance won't be enough to fund the program. So the government will have to tax other amenities. Although I doubt it will happen the "bread and butter" tax increase is usually a higher tax on tobacco but the government just recently did this and I don't see them doing it again this soon but you never know. You might actually see a higher tax on bread and butter, there has been talk recently of a tax to be put on fast food and junk food and with 80% of the states already having a state tax of some form on these items I can't see the feds being too far behind. The truth is there is no telling where the tax will be placed but historically speaking the tax will affect the middle class the most, as the poor don't have the money and the rich have all the lobbyists.

Apparently the liberals are going to try. I hear that many people, particularly young people, will just choose to pay the fine because it is cheaper than purchasing health insurance. Then, if they get sick, they will go on the government run plan. This will drive up the cost of the government option, which in turn, will drive up taxes.

There will be no special prison for the Gitmo Terrorist…each American will have to adopt one of 'em and rotate every 2 months.

Gitmo will not be closed just shuffle 'em around.

Well if the administration gets their way a person who decides NOT to carry health insurance will pay a fine, from what I understand it will be 2.5% of that person's gross income.
